Natalie Simonsen completed her Bachelor of Laws with Honours at James Cook University, Townsville in 2009. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through the College of Law in 2010 and was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2010. Taylor Thompson
Senior Solicitor
Taylor is a Senior Solicitor with over 25 years’ experience (admitted in 2000). Taylor was born in Mackay and spent most of her childhood living and attending school in regional Queensland.
Taylor:
- has worked in both private practice (Australia and NZ) and local government (UK)
- has served as a board member of various educational institutions
- is a mum to three teenagers (and often a host mum to foreign exchange students)
- enjoys spending time with her children, travelling (particularly within Australia), reading, theatre and walking or swimming at our local beaches
- obtained her LLB (Hons) degree at James Cook University
- particularly enjoys helping clients understand estate planning better. Taylor also likes to help clients through, often, difficult or stressful times whilst dealing with a loved one’s estate.

Michele is employed as an Administration Assistant with NS Lawyers. She is passionate about providing great customer service to our clients.
Michele has been a Mackay local her entire life. She brings to our firm an extensive range of experience spanning over 30 years. When she isn't at work she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
Denni Hornick
Administrative Assistant
Denni is an Administration Assistant with NS Lawyers. She brings a thorough knowledge and experience in legal administration to our firm.
Denni is a Mackay local, born and raised here. She is currently completing her studies in Education, specialising in English and Legal Studies. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Denni is also passionate about horses and has competed in Show jumping competitions since a young age.
